Haven (Physical CD)
Haven (2011) is one of the earliest releases from The Bergamot, created in the first chapter of the duo’s journey just after Nathaniel Paul Hoff and Jillian Speece graduated from college. The album captures the raw spirit of the band’s beginnings and the simple joy of two voices discovering their harmony together.
Recorded as a fully acoustic album, Haven highlights the natural chemistry between Nathaniel and Jillian, with warm guitar-driven arrangements and intimate vocal performances. The songs are deeply inspired by growing up in the Midwest, the shores of Lake Michigan, and the early days of falling in love, giving the album a sense of openness, nostalgia, and youthful optimism.
The album features early fan favorites including “Me and Roscoe,” “Haven,” and “Skyscrapers,” songs that helped shape the foundation of The Bergamot’s sound and live performances during their earliest touring years.
Haven remains a special chapter in The Bergamot catalog, offering listeners a pure and heartfelt glimpse into the origins of the band’s musical partnership.
